- AI-powered data ingestion: Led a 10-contributor full-stack workstream that transformed inconsistent customer spreadsheets into structured carbon-accounting records through GraphQL APIs, a persisted state machine, OpenSearch-powered emissions-factor matching, and a user-facing AI chat; cut record-classification time by 80–90% across 500,000 purchasing records.
- Utility data automation: Extended that ingestion system beyond spreadsheets so connected utility accounts and uploaded bills could automatically generate electricity and other utility records as new bills arrived; normalized third-party webhook data into the same matching and record-generation pipeline, supporting $1M+ in prospective sales opportunities.
- Legacy modeling platform revival: After a product pivot, reconstructed an undocumented legacy feature and led a Codex/Claude-reviewed RFC to redesign its data model for expanded decarbonization scenarios; generated a dependency-ordered PR stack, personally reviewed each change, and propagated corrections across the stack, enabling the connection of an already completed frontend prototype to persisted data.
- Rapid product validation: Built prototypes for customer validation, sales demonstrations, and technical discovery, giving product and design early evidence of customer value, technical feasibility, and key tradeoffs before larger investments; prototypes became production foundations or reference implementations.
- Workflow and notification platform: Built reusable, configurable workflows for carbon-accounting records and potential future resources in our system, with assignments, bulk updates, in-app/email delivery, real-time events, and scheduled jobs; helped drive growth in monthly active users.
- Frontend quality and productivity: Set shared practices and mentored 12 engineers; built a composable Vite/MSW/GraphQL test platform that roughly halved setup and network-mocking effort and enabled broader coverage; enforced TypeScript in CI, reducing production change failures 10%; led major React, React Router, and MUI upgrades that improved developer experience and unblocked newer packages.
